Adopted Daughter

Stephanie Anastasia Jeannette Gaunt is now 21 years old. She lives in her own apartment in Indianapolis near Mom and Dad and is going to college to be a Psychologist. She wants to become a Psychologist because she feels she would be able to identify with people and therefore be able to help them with their problems. Stephanie feels Psychology is an interesting field and wants to give back to others for what she has received.

Stephanie still has her cat Precious and recently adopted a second cat she has named Beauty. Her cats and college studies keep her busy most of time. She plans to adopt a child someday when she is better prepared to be a mother and she practices with her cats today.

Stephanie feels that being adopted has helped her to become who she is. She says that if she hadn’t been adopted she’s not sure where she would be today but thinks she wouldn’t be doing very well.

She writes poetry and her poem “A Brother’s Death” from the movie has been published.

A Brother's Death

Death came creeping.
Life was taken

right in front of our eyes.
Death and eternal sleeping,
Left us to say our goodbyes.

Sometimes I think of you,
remembering our commonalities.
I think of how you kept me happy and how
you kept yourself happy.
Then I think:

Death came creeping.
Life was taken, right in front of our eyes.
Death and eternal sleeping,
Left us to say our goodbyes.

How are you, I wonder?

I hope you're free and happy.
How do you look, I ponder.
Then I think:

Death came creeping.
Life was taken, right in front of our eyes.
Death and eternal sleeping,
Left us to say our goodbyes

The Dead Rose

You are my rose in which you have died
And in which I had to hang you in my
heart to be dried,
Forever and always.

Even though you have died
I love you even now,
And I hung you in my heart to be dried.

Though you are dead, I am by your side
And sometimes I wonder how,
And in which you have died.

The Celtic Song

Life can be rough,
Life can become a storm,
The long road may become tough,
For the rain can the road misform.

Your tears falling is your rain,
Your anger inside is the thunder,
Sometimes you have to change your lane.

Then somewhere above comes the instrumental sound of strings,
The sound is calming and relaxing,
As your mind and spirit wanders to the thought of angel wings.

Somewhere down the road your mind becomes clear,
You see your world with beautiful flowers,
For you know love is near,
Even when the rain starts to shower.

Even though your storm may continue throughout your days,
You find yourself reassured,
The storms are not so violent as you try new ways.

Family

Being in a family teaches social graces,
How to get along with new faces,
It also makes us learn to care,
And that it is better to work as a pair.

What do we learn by being in a family?
What do we teach each other?
What do we hold for each others' future?

We learn to accept responsibilities,
And figure out our own abilities,
We learn to self control,
And to search our soul.

What do we learn by being in a family?
What do we teach each other?
What do we hold for each others' future?

The Perfect Place

Long, winding, gold path with grass along side it,
And it goes without saying there are trees,
trees on the outer part of the grass.
There are also flowers all about.
The sky....the sky is baby blue
reaching down to the earth.

Golden rays of sun dance about, warming the
things below them
the path; it leads to a beautiful blue
castle, with towers that almost touch the sky.
And stained glass windows, and animals all about…

Unconditional Love

Love, What's Love? Love is to be wanted.
Love is unconditional, Love is the color of Roseate,
Love is a warming glow,

love is a beautiful rose,
which never dies, but
love it shows.

Love is the affectionate flow.
Love is everlasting,
never stopping for fasting,
love is the calm, reassuring
river flowing high above,
like an everlasting dove.
Unconditional, what’s unconditional?

Unconditional is absolute,
unconditional is standing
through the times that we grimace at,
unconditional is not moratorium,
unconditional is not always making atonements
to make someone love you,

but rather understand human mistakes,
and try to never make the same mistake.
